We took part in the national care homes 'Open Day' which was on the nationally n the 17th June. However we postponed ours until the Sunday 19th as we felt that it would be lovely to have cream teas in the garden with all our family and friends. A wonderful afternoon was spent on the Waveney Stardust 2. It departed from Brundall and meandered its way along the River Yare passing through Surlingham broad and along to Brammerton. Cream tea was served on board while the residents soaked in a snippet of the British summer time. The next departure on the Stardust will be in August!
We certainly entered into the spirit of the Queens 90th Birthday celebrations. We decided to hold a 'Street Party' indoors! and an 'Open Day' which also co-incided with the national care homes open day. So we needed to get planning!!!!
