We had a wonderful Norfolk Day celebration here at Ealing House. The dining room was adorned with Norfolk flags and the tables laid for a special Norfolk picnic style lunch. We had Cromer crab, Stiffkey cockles, Martham bakery breads, Binham blue cheeses (Mrs Temples). Salad from Tacon's. Dessert was Norfolk shortcakes with strawberries and cream, and Ronaldo's ice cream tasting. [...]
To keep our spirits up during these 'Covid 19' times we introduced a Quiz each Friday. Not only has kept our brains active, it has stimulated residents to 'Set the Quiz', as they take turns to come up with 30 questions of their category choice. Thank goodness we have the garden to tend to. We have enjoyed strawberries, cucumber, lettuce, herbs and tomatoes from it this year. The sunflowers that we were given as seeds from Rollesby school have done very well too, so all in all a bumper year!
