Burns Day

Once again we put on a wonderful Burn’s Day celebration.

As ever we enjoy all aspects of our celebrations from the decorating up, to the preparation of the food.

We were also treated to a visit via zoom from the children and Sara. They were all dressed up in their kilts, really looking the part. Beryl read them a story about ‘No Such Thing as Nessie’, then the children performed some Scottish dancing followed by some singing.

Suzy cooked us all the traditional lunch of Haggis, mash and neaps, followed by cranachan. This was all washed down with a Drambuie or a Scottish whiskey!!

Even Treacle joined in with her wonderful bow tie.

The theme has carried on for a week, with a Scottish menu, with kedgeree being a big hit.
