No sooner was Easter tidied away we began our preparations for The Queen’s 94th Birthday and St George’s Day!
There were also our Friday afternoon Quiz sessions to keep our spirits high.
Gladys celebrated her 99th birthday by being chosen to be ‘our queen’ for the day, on Queen Elizabeth’s birthday. There was a ‘Tea Dance’ prior to lunch.
As part of our patriotic week there was a Royal Reminiscence, and a film afternoon showing ‘key’ footage of the queen. Including her wedding, and coronation.
St George’s Day was enjoyed by holding a street party style luncheon.
Along with this we have found time to keep up with our gardening. Things seem to be growing well in this wonderful spring weather.
As you can see we’re finding lots to keep us busy during the ‘Lock down’. It doesn’t stop us all from missing you all.
However we remain well in here for the time being.
Keep yourselves safe and well, and enjoy the following photos.
