We had a fun day celebrating Australia Day. With the dining room decorated up for the occasion, the celebrations began with a photo talk from Jenny about her recent trip to Australia to see James.
Australian fact sheets and a book about Australian wildlife and history of Australia Day were around for those who wished to look through them to do so at their leisure.
For lunch there was a selection of Australian foods including Lamb, Wagyu burgers for mains, and Lamington’s for dessert, all washed down with a Fosters larger shandy for those who wished to try.
Then for tea Vegemite on toast (you either love it or hate it!) and Tim Tams. Delicious.
We had great photo opportunities with all the props which made us all feel in good spirits. As you can see.
