As ever we like to get involved with all that goes on around the world. Once again we put on our beret’s and cracked open the French wine for Bastille Day.
Wellbeing morning was spent sampling French breads and cheeses.
Following this there was time for 3 snail races! Elaine had carefully collected 10 snails from her back garden (so they already knew each other) She brought them in with the vegetation they were eating and were handled very carefully. Then promptly returned to her garden, for release . Guaranteeing that no harm came to any of them. Everyone enjoyed shouting for the snail that was closest to them, with some surprise winners racing along at the last minute
After all this excitement it was time for a hand wash and lunch.
Lunch was coq au vin with profiteroles for dessert.
Everyone reminisced about holiday’s to France and people who they had met. What a lovely sociable day all ’round.
