Burns Day celebrations began with listening to Scottish music on the television. This got us into the spirit ready for when The haggis was ready to be addressed with The Shekirk Grace. This was ready by Vince, with Suzy G presenting him with the cooked haggis. To toast the haggis there was a dram of whiskey.
Following the grace Bob played Scottish music on his harmonica.
Lunch was then served, Haggis, mash and neaps. Following the main course there was a Scottish themed quiz was enjoyed, with Vince being our ‘Quiz master’.
Dessert was Cranachan, homemade shortbread. There was even Edinburgh Rock and Tablet to sample for those who whished.
A really lovely day for all as you can see.
