The year of the cockerel was celebrated with a Chinese lunch cooked by Suzie.
The dining room was decorated for the occasion as you will see in the following photos.
There were even chop sticks at each place setting, for those who wished to try to show off their skills! Our mascots Gertie and Andy bear were even wearing special outfits. Nessie also wished to join in,(he said it was too soon to go back to the Loch!) and swapped his tartan hat for a Chinese one!
For starters there was a selection of Chinese buffet snacks including Spring rolls, wantons and prawn toast served with sweet chilli sauce.
Mains soon followed; with sweet and sour chicken, lemon chicken, chow mien and egg fried rice along with some prawn crackers to accompany the meal.
To finish the meal everyone enjoyed a lychees and mango sundae, followed by some Chinese tea.
There were special ‘Lucky’ red envelops filled with gold chocolate coins to take away along with a fortune cookie.
