We had a visit from ‘Audrey’ one of my rescue hedgehogs.
She is quite tame due to her size and condition when found. She only weighed 187gms mid October. She was thought to be a third litter due to the warm autumn. She was out wandering during the day, very weak, looking for food she was covered in fleas and ticks (42 ticks in total). So the poor little thing has had lots of TLC throughout the winter months and she will soon be ready for release in March.
Her visit was swift and it combined with her ‘health check’ weigh in etc.
She now weighs 748gms, perfect. What a little trooper she is.
As you can see everyone enjoyed seeing her. She was checked for fleas, using a tooth brush…………. none found!
