Martham Carnival

The theme for this years display in St Mary’s Church this year was ‘Kitchenalia’ or old farm machinery/tools.

As we have quite a collection of kitchen ware on our Reminiscence shelves it was decided that we would have a special reminiscence session and gather everyone’s thoughts on what the items had been used for.

Then these items were packed up and taken down to the church to make an Ealing House entry.

It was very interesting listening to everyone’s memories of using the items. With the food tins it was also interesting learning how they managed to get flavour into the dishes they were preparing. We take so much for granted these days.
