Wow. It was SO good to be part of the community once again.
Thanks to the organisers of The Martham Scarecrow Festival for organising this year’s event. It was really lovely to see the village come to life once again. Albeit on a smaller scale it still made an impact on the community.
Our display was on a somewhat smaller scale, but it looked really good non the less.
We dressed the scarecrows in PPE and put them into a pretend vaccination centre.
For the bunting we got the residents to say some words/or a drawing poignant to them about the last 16 months. Then some words/or a drawing of things that had ‘kept them going’. These were then hung together, making a lovely overall chain.
The windows of Ealing House were adorned with photos showing some of the many activities which have gone on despite lockdown. Keeping us all busy and stimulated.
We look forward to being part of next year’s event which is scheduled for 1st & 2nd May 2022, (We’d better get planning!!)
UPDATE! We were delighted to receive an award for the ‘Best Bunting’.
THANK YOU to all those people who voted for us.
