There was a very varied range of activities during November.
The first being a visit from Andrew Flintham. It was the first time he’d been to Ealing House, he brought along with a collection of vinyl records and a turntable. As he showed off the records, he told us all the details about each song he was about to put on to the turn player. Just like in the old days! In fact it turned out that he and Tilly share a mutual friend, in that they both know one of The Bachelors. What a small world!
Everyone enjoyed his visit, and I’m sure he’ll soon return to show off his records once more.
We had a visit from The clothes Line, fondly known to us as The Knicker Lady!!! She comes across from Fakenham with a mobile shop which sells all sorts of things, clothes, mugs, pens, socks, and of course KNICKER’S!!!!
We turn everything into a social, and enjoyed coffee and a chat as we looked at the items for sale. Some people tried things on, just like going to the shops. Other’s did some Christmas shopping!
Lastly we held a Pampered Chef evening. This doubled up as a wine and cheese event, and we had plenty of additional visitors who came along to enjoy the evening. It was hosted by Sally Barns, she demonstrated how to make a Toblerone cheesecake, pecan tassies and a chocolate pudding. So there was plenty of desserts to accompany the cheese and wine!! The kitchen benefited from the fund raising event, as any commission raised was taken in kitchen goods. Thank you to all who came. Hope you are pleased with your purchases.
