We couldn’t let October go bye with out holding an Octoberfest!
The preparations began with the making of some Gluhwein (a mulled wine).
Once that was bubbling away in the slow cooker, our attentions turned to preparing a black forest gateaux!
With everything ready, everyone sat down to enjoy a traditional German meal of:
Pretzels and German cheese for starters.
Schnitzel with mushroom sauce for mains followed by the wonderful homemade black forest gateaux.
This was washed down with Gluhwein and German beer!!
During lunch there was a quiz and word search to enjoy whilst listening to German music!!
What a lovely time we all had.
