We ended up with an unexpected trip to Poppy land Tea Room in Horsey.
Originally we had a trip booked for Thrigby Hall, where family, friends and staff were going to meet for their annual picnic together. No one could foresee the terrible weather that was coming our way. Hard to believe following such an amazing summer!
Anyway rain it did! Torrential! Far too bad to head out for the day. How ever the bus had been booked and needed to be paid for if we used it or not, so the venue was hurriedly changed to Poppy land. (It was our list of visits so in fact all was not lost after all!).
The tea room was extremely accommodating for us, as we had arrived unannounced. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their refreshments, as you can see there was a wide variety of cakes on offer. Everyone the 1940’s theme and all the memorabilia, and Dad’s Army photos.
We will certainly be repeating our visit again soon.
