No sooner had we cleared up from the coffee morning, it was time to get ready for the Scarecrow festival.
During the past few months there was a knitting party, busily making knitted squares in an assortment of colours.
Others had been working on the many pompoms we needed to create a display which was going in to Vince’s office window.
Now the time had come to bring it all to life.
The male scarecrows were going to look like they were bird watching, whilst the women were left running their shop!!
From Vince’s window the crows were beginning to ‘fledge’ from their nest, and the crows all around were watching closely.
There were many knitted birds and hedgehogs in the garden just waiting to be spotted!!
I think you’ll agree the over all display all seemed to fall into place.
It was lovely to see so many people come along and enjoy it. Some of the residents ventured outside to have a closer look at all their hard work, whilst others enjoyed waving to the visitors whilst looking out from their cosy chairs!
we were delighted to hear that we were awarded ‘Best Overall Display’.
Well done to everyone for all their hard work.
