The residents spent many an hour preparing for the summer coffee morning, which this year had a sea side theme to it.
For one stall it was decided that they would make paper windmills, some of these would then be coloured on the end of their stick, placed in a sand tray with all the rest and become a lucky dip. It was really pretty when complete as you will see.
The weather let us down considerably as we had a number of outside activities for all to enjoy. Hook a duck, tin can ally hoopla etc. However in true Ealing house style the show went on inside! (Just a revised version!!!)
There were many still many stalls, including a raffle, Tilly’s bric-a-brac, a sweet shop, a craft table, and a treasure hunt for the children.
We are delighted to announce that we raised a total of £341.49 on the day (with further amounts for selling cards on a 50-50 basis and a stall selling of the remaining crafts, still coming in).
As you know this all goes into the resident’s fund allowing them to enjoy the many activities that take place here at Ealing House.
Anne celebrated her 80th birthday at the weekend so we ‘surprised’ her with a bouquet of flowers at the end of the raffle.
