We really enjoyed helping Pom celebrate Thai new year with the festival of Songkran.
The festival is marked by water, which is thought to wash away misfortune and usher in prosperity. So we had bowls of water on the tale with flowers to decorate.
Pom cooked us the most amazing meal. Massaman curry, Jazmin rice, Pad Thai noodles for mains.
Then for dessert she made a bright green tapioca pudding with coconut milk. yum yum.
Sara and the children joined us for lunch.
(It also coincided with Marion’s 80th birthday, what a celebration she had).
