Everyone gathered together for afternoon tea.
What a lovely spread it was, Thanks to Lorraine for all her hard work preparing it all.
Daphne was given the privilege of cutting the cake, as she’d turned 90 in April. (The fondant queen had been made by the lady in the village cake shop, it certainly finished off the lovely 3 tier fruit cake). Didn’t it look great?
Following tea a good old game of pass the parcel was enjoyed by all, with Beryl being our lucky winner.
During the game a very special visitor turned up, The Queen! Ruby Gladden age 4, helped along by her big brother Jack.
She did an amazing job giving out the commemorative gifts to each resident, Jack was in charge of the stickers and chocolates. It was true ‘Team Work’.
There was also time for some dancing; and massing about with some Royal Family masks, all in all great FUN!
What wonderful memories we will have of the Queens 90th Birthday.
