Everyone worked hard to make our summer ‘Pirate ‘ themed coffee morning a great success.
It was decided that there should be a theme to make it appealing to both the young and old as the coffee morning took place on the first day of the summer holidays.
Pirates became the theme!
As ever the residents spent activity times painting and creating pirate themed items which were to go on sale on thee day! As well as some citronella candle holders, flower pots and pots of sweets (Pirate ones for the children!).
So all in all a very busy time.
There was a treasure hunt around the home for the younger visitors to enjoy, before they set off they had to make and decorate a treasure chest. then along the trail they collected coins and visited Nellie to receive a ‘gold’ coin. then having retraced their steps they found the pirate in the garden to receive their prize.
We were blessed with a beautiful summers day, this enabled our many visitors to enjoy being in the garden. It was lovely to see so many people.
We are delighted to announce the event raised £487.00
THANK YOU to all who were involved.
